« The Draco, Conclusion »: Excited by the opening portal, Azazel is distracted long enough for Nightcrawler to teleport himself and Abyss away, while in Vancouver, Juggernaut surrenders his fight against Alpha Flight after realizing he’s hurt Sammy’s mother. Kiwi Black rescues Archangel, and when the attacking Ginniyeh drains moisture near him, Iceman absorbs it to reform his shattered body. Polaris forces Abyss’s portal wider, destroying Azazel’s castle and letting the team escape back to Earth, where Annie kisses Iceman for saving Carter, to Havok’s shock. Nightcrawler duels his bitterly disappointed father until Azazel is swept into the vortex and lost, and back home Nightcrawler bonds with his newfound half-brothers, Abyss and Kiwi Black.
