« A Ghost of Stone »: The Black Knight’s body, turned to stone by the Enchantress, has stood for months in Dr. Strange’s sanctum. Now an unknown power brings the statue to life and sends it against the Avengers. It surprises and defeats Iron Man, Yellowjacket and the Beast in the lab, then the Wasp and Captain America in the kitchen, and finally the Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man as they return from shopping. Unable to defeat the intangible Vision, the knight is forced to recall that the Black Knight’s spirit now resides in his 12th century ancestor and that he is merely an animated statue. Driven mad, he batters the diamond-hard Vision until his stone body is destroyed.
