« Two Girls Out to Have Fun! »: As Storm departs for Africa, Rachel and fellow mutant Magma take in the city, though Rachel remains haunted by her grim future. Dockworker Jaime finds coworkers rifling through his locker, drawn by a strange necklace’s call, and resolves to destroy it. Sensing Selene nearby, Rachel and a vengeance-seeking Magma follow her to the Hellfire Club, where the sorceress schemes to become the new Black Queen. Captured and offered to the Black King, the two mutants resist Selene’s control until the X-Men arrive to help, and the Black King lets them go, wary of Selene’s ambitions. Later, Jaime is killed by a mugger who unwittingly frees the sorcerer trapped within the necklace. Key issue: Selene becomes the Black Queen II of the Hellfire Club.
