« Betrayal »: Aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, the Avengers, including Thor and Iron Man, are briefed on Dr. Myron MacLain’s discovery of adamantium, an indestructible metal that resists even Thor’s hammer. Possessed by an unknown force, the Vision disappears from the briefing. Back at the mansion, the Avengers’ computers malfunction and almost kill Iron Man in a simulated battle, as the heroes learn that the Vision has stolen the adamantium sample. The Vision returns and battles the team to a standstill while the computers he has reprogrammed use the adamantium to recreate the insane robot Ultron, now invulnerable.
