« You Don’t Need the Weathermen to Know Which Way the Wind Blows »: As the world’s weather goes berserk, the Avengers split up to face snowstorms in Buenos Aires, tornadoes in Kansas, a heat wave in Antarctica, floods in London, and unnatural thunderstorms in New York. Each is contested by one of the Weathermen, hoverdisc-riding armored adversaries who wield the powers of the natural elements. Overlooked in the confusion, Jocasta flies a quinjet to the weather-monitoring satellite Samarobryn, which has become sentient and is guiding the Weathermen. By forcing it to defend itself against her, she distracts it long enough for the Avengers to win, and Thor’s lightning bolt erases its programmed sentience.
