Uncanny X-Men Annual 2001

« Absolute Progeny »: After an alleged mutant riot in Texas, the X-Men tell Nick Fury they believe a new drug granting temporary mutant powers is responsible. Wolverine and Iceman investigate a vicious new drug lord in Cuba while Chamber and Stacy X see teenagers using the drug at a rave. The Vanisher runs the cartel, making the drug from the bone marrow of his cousin, a zombified mutant giant. He captures Wolverine and Iceman and starts extracting Wolverine’s marrow with an adamantium drill, but the X-Men arrive; the giant destroys the X-Wing before Chamber blasts him. Nightcrawler rescues Wolverine, the Vanisher disappears, and the team fears they have not seen the last of his operation.
