Storm (Ororo Monroe) and Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) are in Seoul, South Korea, responding to a request for aid from their enemy, Black Tom Cassidy. Just prior to meeting with him, they are beset by a team of warriors who are devotees of the deity Cytorrak. After dispatching their assailants, they make contact with Tom, who denies that he set up the ambush. Back in New York, at Xavier’s school, Rogue returns from another fruitless search for Gambit.
