« Payback »: Professor X senses Jean’s psyche survives. Fitzroy confronts Shinobi Shaw, unaware Jean has secretly transferred her mind into the vacated White Queen’s body, then forcibly claims Shaw’s ring and rule of the Hellfire Club. Fitzroy begins draining captive Hellions to power a time portal, freeing future criminals in exchange for service, killing one who defies him. The disguised « White Queen » strikes as the X-Men arrive, and amid the battle Fitzroy drains the remaining Hellions and releases more criminals — but three newcomers follow through the portal and destroy his Sentinels, one seizing Fitzroy by the throat: the man called Bishop. Key issue: First appearance of Bishop, Malcolm and Randall (XSE agents from an alternate future); first appearance of Bantam.
