« Storm »: In space, a P!ndyr champion falls to a mad Shi’ar empress’s telepath, forcing his species into the Empire. In Cairo, Illinois, a de-aged Storm pulls off another Robin Hood-style robbery with unpredictable powers, still pursued by Nanny and Orphan-Maker and by Agent Jacob Reisz — secretly the Shadow King, who has just enslaved Val Cooper in Washington. At night, Storm shelters in an airplane junkyard, her fractured mind mixing memories of her parents with nightmares of her pursuers. Using his deductive skill, Shadow King sets a trap at her next likely target, and Storm walks into it, soon cornered by Reisz and his mind-controlled hounds. Key issue: First appearance of the P’ndyr Champion.
