Uncanny X-Men #162

« Beyond the Farthest Star »: Having shaken off a mind-controlling illusion, Wolverine finds himself alone and on the run across the Brood’s world, hunting down pursuing Brood hunters and battling scavengers within the hollowed-out carcass the aliens use as a city. As his healing factor fights a parasitic Brood egg implanted in him, the creature struggles to affect his adamantium-laced skeleton, giving his body the anchor it needs to fight back and ultimately destroy the invader. Waking free of the threat, Wolverine grimly resolves to find and save his captured teammates — or, if necessary, end their suffering himself. Key issue: First appearance of the Broodqueen; Fang II dies.
