« The Tyrant Superman! »: a three-part story, with parts titled « The New Superman! », « Clark Kent — Former Superman! » and « The Struggle of the Two Supermen! ». A New Superman named Ar-Val appears alongside the regular Man of Steel, with Lana Lang, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen involved. Lex Luthor and Brainiac are the villains, Cosmic Boy, Invisible Kid and Saturn Girl of the Legion of Super-Heroes guest in Part II, and Superman’s origin is retold briefly in Part I.
