February 1975. « Who Is Adam Warlock? » is written, drawn and inked by Jim Starlin and launches his imaginative run on Warlock. A key issue: it retells Warlock’s origin and the history of the High Evolutionary’s Counter-Earth, with flashbacks featuring Thor, the Hulk and Doctor Doom. It also marks the first appearance of the Magus and the Matriarch of the Universal Church of Truth, whose Grand Inquisitors hunt a woman marked for termination.
