Two police cars chase the Ghost Rider before he crashes through a moving train and jumps over a gorge, escaping them. When the Sun rises, he transforms back into Johnny Blaze and thinks that his powers are getting harder and harder to control. A few miles away, the Orb and his henchmen rob an armored car and he reveals that he plans to purchase a device that can destroy the Ghost Rider. Key issue: First appearance of Cynthia Randolph, Ralph Quentin and Red Fowler; Ghost Rider battles the Avengers in Avengers #214 shortly after.
