« The Menace of the Miracle Man! »: The Fantastic Four are now world heroes and receive their costumes. At a stage show, the Miracle Man displays invulnerability and strength greater than the Thing’s, humiliating Ben Grimm. He then declares war on humanity and brings a monster statue to life. The Human Torch burns the monster, but the Miracle Man hypnotizes the Invisible Girl and flees in a stolen atomic tank. A blinding flash from the Torch reveals that his powers are only hypnosis. The victory comes at a cost, as Johnny Storm leaves the team after another argument with the Thing.
