DAREDEVIL (1998) #5

Daredevil takes the cross he was given to Doctor Strange to see if it has any magical properties or connections, but none are found. However, it did contain a drug that makes one highly susceptible to suggestion and unable to reason logically. They then summon Mephisto to see if there are any signs of the Christian apocalypse. He says there are none and that Daredevil should check on his mother. When he gets back to the church, everybody except his mother is dead. Bullseye then attacks him after making numerous references to J.D Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye.…
