Reprint of the 1st story from Tales to Astonish #11 I Found Monstrom! The Dweller in the Black Swamp! A writer takes his family to Bayou country to begin work on a new novel, but his son encounters a monster in the swamp. The monster is distracted when an alligator bites his leg, so the father and son flee while the monster finishes off the gator. The man drives into town to warn the sheriff, but is scoffed at, until a neighbor backs up his story. When the monster arrives, they find their weapons ineffective, but the creature shies away from fire, and so they drive it back to the quicksand bog in the swamp.…
