In order to prove herself to Batman, Batgirl has secures a local gas station and awaits for Batman to arrive for its retrieval. However, a rival gang destroys the station with a rocket launcher upon discovery that the station is empty. Batgirl lashes out against the gang in anger and is on the verge of killing a gang member when the owner of the gas station convinces her not to. As a reward he unveils a secret stash of gasoline to power the hospital’s generators.
