Avengers #318

« A Vengeful God »: Instead of causing mass destruction, touching the Infinity Union channels its stored energies into Nebula. Now a god-like being, she teleports the Avengers and the Stranger to the ship’s monitor room, obliterates the Stranger and instantly recreates him, then appears as a giantess who withstands the heroes’ combined powers. When she merges with the ship’s computers to turn the craft against them, the Stranger recovers and reroutes the Infinity Union’s energies to himself. Sersi removes the implant giving Nebula access to the device, and she reverts to normal. Back on Earth, Captain America and Spider-Man agree the web-spinner is better suited to crime-fighting than cosmic battles, and he departs.
