« Assault on Sanctuary II »: Firelord refuses to join the alliance with the Skrulls until he learns that his homeworld, Xandar, has been destroyed by Nebula’s forces, then joins the battle with a vengeance before being downed by a force-bolt. Captain Marvel becomes a living storm of electromagnetic energy and disables the mercenaries’ shields, and they surrender to an assault force seemingly led by Thanos and the Avengers, actually General Zedrao and his men. Starfox captures Nebula, who claims to be Thanos’s granddaughter. The Beyonder, in human form, then appears and, while trying to help, mistakenly makes Nebula and her henchmen vanish. Befuddled by the Avengers’ anger, he teleports away.
