Uncanny X-Men #442

« Of Darkest Nights, 1 of 2 »: Professor X takes Magneto’s body to Genosha for burial, an honor Wolverine insists he doesn’t deserve, while Nick Fury spitefully strands them both there. Elsewhere, the X-Men and Avengers help rescue Manhattan’s wounded from Magneto’s attack, and Juggernaut cradles a dying woman he’s just dug free. On Genosha, an enraged Wolverine interrupts Professor X’s eulogy, desecrating the coffin, then brawls with mourning Genoshans before climbing and destroying Magneto’s memorial statue. He maims Toad in the ensuing fight, just as Polaris, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver arrive, with Polaris asking to speak in Magneto’s defense.
