Batman is affected on a personal level when a string of murders plague Gotham. Plot Summary Batman is helping Gotham PD try and solve the Dumpster Killer murders. When investigating the scene of the third victim, Batman helps with a fire rescue where he meets a young lady named Kate Babcock. He later meets her as Bruce Wayne and becomes fast friends with her. When she becomes a victim of the Dumpster Killer, he lets his emotions get the best of him. Continued in Batman #421
