« World Enough & Time or, The Man Who Would Be… »: Answering a frantic call from Betty Brant, Spider-Man finds her with Trapster and the Wizard, who has created an unnatural vortex. Inside, Spidey finds a medieval land of knights and the Green Folk, rescues Betty and meets the mesmerized Ranger. The Wizard reveals the world is a hologram testing his dimensional matrix, which he now uses to bring the Negative Zone to Earth, threatening New York. Spidey sends the matrix transponder into the void and the vortex explodes. Ranger erases Betty’s recent memories, while Senator Stewart Ward proceeds to the access point to the Negative Zone.
