« Return from Forever! »: While the rest of the League battles the Manhunters, Aquaman, the Atom and the Elongated Man are busy with a case of their own and choose not to answer the League’s distress signal. A space craft is shot down over the Atlantic, and Aquaman finds a woman pilot who calls herself Willow, on the run from something called the Construct. She seeks asylum in Atlantis. The Construct is an electronic energy composite being trying to destroy her, and it later makes contact with the Justice League. The Atom also talks of retiring his costumed identity. Key issue: First appearance of the Construct.
