Uncanny X-Men #488

« (Untitled) »: Masque weaponizes Bliss’s venom into a bomb for his ally Skids, who criticizes his cruelty toward the mutilated Caliban, insisting his disfigurement was never part of any prophecy. Storm’s team treks through the sewers toward Morlock Alley, while Val Cooper confronts Professor X over his lies and forms her own hunting team. In the Alley, Storm finds a wall covered in cryptic predictions bearing all their names as Nightcrawler and Professor X defy government orders to search for Magneto. Also: « Endangered Species, Chapter 2 », Beast travels to Transia to meet the High Evolutionary, but a guide’s accident exposes his true Beast form, terrifying his companions just as the Evolutionary’s monstrous New Men close in.
