Uncanny X-Men #366

« The Shot Heard Round the World »: An Acolyte attack raises fears that Joseph has reverted to Magneto, but tests in Israel instead reveal Joseph is merely a clone, even as the real Magneto readies an assault from his Arctic base. The X-Men chase the Acolytes into a trap meant only to distract them while Magneto’s agent Ferris approaches the UN. In Israel, a woman claiming to be Joseph’s mother ambushes him as Magneto disrupts the world’s magnetosphere, triggering global blackouts and downing the X-Men’s plane. Ferris warns the UN that Magneto will permanently cut off Earth’s power unless given the means to build a mutant paradise.
