« Fresh Upstart »: In Australia, a surprise Sentinel attack devastates the Reavers. In New York, the X-Men accept a truce from the White Queen against a common enemy, and tensions with the Hellions flare when she tortures a captured assassin. Trevor Fitzroy, revealed to be behind the Sentinels, plans to kill the White Queen and steal Shinobi Shaw’s Hellfire Club crown; as Shaw flees the Sentinels in Australia, Fitzroy attacks the Hellfire Club, killing Hellions and, alongside his Sentinels, slaying Pierce, Tarot and apparently the White Queen before focusing fire on Jean Grey. Fitzroy escapes with captive Hellions, leaving the X-Men to find Jean’s lifeless body. Key issue: First appearance of Trevor Fitzroy and the Sentinels of an alternate future timeline; Donald Pierce and the Reavers die.
