Uncanny X-Men #208

« Retribution »: In the Morlock tunnels, Shadowcat berates Wolverine for stabbing Phoenix. Selene murders two victims in Central Park, replenishing herself, and tells the Inner Circle of Phoenix’s attack; the Black King demands retribution. Nimrod detects Phoenix’s vulnerability. Badly wounded, Phoenix stumbles on Selene’s latest victims and, enraged, psionically assaults Wolverine, revealing she’s still alive. Storm has Caliban lead the X-Men to her while Selene’s Black Rook does the same for the Inner Circle; the two groups find their target near-simultaneously and clash, with the Inner Circle gaining the upper hand. Phoenix slips away just as Nimrod arrives, intent on carrying out his mandate to eliminate all mutants.
