Uncanny X-Men #114

« Desolation »: Beast struggles through Antarctica’s brutal cold carrying an unconscious Phoenix until they spot a rescue helicopter. Believing their teammates dead, the two sorrowfully report the loss to Professor X and Lilandra back home. In fact, the rest of the team survived, tunneling their way to the hidden Savage Land, where they recuperate among the Fall People and mourn Beast and Phoenix in turn. There, Cyclops is troubled to realize he feels nothing romantic for Phoenix anymore, and while shaving notices an odd resemblance to Corsair that stirs a fragment of lost memory. Elsewhere, Storm is attacked and drained by Karl Lykos, who transforms once more into the savage Sauron.
