« Veni, Vidi, Vici: Viper! »: The Commissioner enlists Captain America to uncover the identity of the Cowled Commander just before a bomb explodes in the precinct. The Falcon hears news reports of the explosion and the presumed death of Captain America, and races to the scene to confront the Viper, who admits to planting the bomb and attacks him with a poisoned dart. Cap arrives, demanding the antidote, but he is poisoned too and the Viper escapes. Key issue: First appearance of the Viper (Jordon Dixon, the Eel’s brother); Cowled Commander mentioned by name only.
