The Daily Bugle sends Ben Urich and Peter Parker to Miami to work on a story about the surging crime wave in the city! And since his good friend Dr. Curt Connors lives in South Florida, Peter decides to drop in for a visit! Dr. Connors seems to be doing great since his last encounter with the web-singer (in Spectacular Spider-Man 238 & 239)! However that’s not what Martha Connors tells Mary Jane! When Spider-Man realizes the rising crime wave is reptilian in nature, he must confront his long-time friend! But poor Dr. Connors is no more; it’s just the Lizard!
