« Meanwhile… »: In her Los Angeles penthouse, MJ watches a news report of Spider-Man fighting a terrorist army, smiles through a photo shoot and the premiere of her film Raving Madmen, and lies awake looking at the empty side of her bed. Aunt May cancels her Daily Bugle and New York Herald subscriptions over their negative Spidey coverage, emails talk shows requesting positive programs on super heroes, and keeps working to forgive Peter. Spidey rescues a father and son from a fire, sees MJ on a Times Square jumbo screen, and thinks of calling her but doesn’t. Later, MJ sleeps next to a photo of her and Peter.
