Following their battle with Magneto, Phoenix and Beast seem to be the only survivors left! The Beast and Phoenix have become separated from the rest of the X-Men after the collapse of Magneto’s lair. The Phoenix awakens in rage, and manages to signal a plane to rescue them. Jean and Hank return to the states, and tell Prof. Xavier that his other students are dead. Meanwhile the rest of the X-Men have survived and emerge in the Savage Land!… Notes: This is the first issue to be prefixed with « The Uncanny »!
